From Timothy R. Marsh, 1970, via Roger Rice Landers: Christopher Landerswas in Warren County, KY in 1805 and still owned land there in 1807. Anold newspaper clipping states that Christopher was in Middle Tennessee in1810 and was deceased by 1814. In 1814 we find a Bedford County deed fromJames Gilbert to the heirs of Christopher Landers for 44 acres. This landwas part of the James Gilbert tract that he purchased from Clement Cannonand was located between Thompson Creek and Thompson Creek Road and joinedthe 200 acre grant #15877 that was issued to the heirs of ChristopherLanders. This grant ran along the Thompson Creek Road on the east sideand lay immediately south of Beech Hall, that was owned by Major A. L.Landis, now by the Cooper Estate.
