It seems likely that this Abraham is the one who first acquired land andsettled in Bedford County, TN.
Several other Landisses followed him there, or stopped there on theirjourneys west.In December 1794 Abram Landis secured a grant to 2879 acres in the middledistrict of Tennessee on Duck River. It was to this tract, or itsvicinity, that all the migrations of Landis families from North Carolinaseem to have pointed.

Susannah Gooch [Parents] was born 1 in 1795. She married 2 Abraham Landers on 16 Dec 1812.
About 1818 her father was placing her property in the trust of DavidGooch. Susannah may have died 27 Aug. 1818, although a Susanna Landerswas identified in the 1830 Bedford County census by Roger Rice Landers.
