Landiss had been loving her veryhard, that the result would be a young Landiss after awhile, without anylegal father, unless the Squire would aid her -- and she appeared verymuch "broken up" about it. Squire Cox issued the necessary papers tobring John to time but he had heard of it, and the Constable couldn'tfind him. But he only stayed away a few days and returned determined todo what was right, and so came down to the County Clerk and got a licenseabout 3 o'clock Wednesday, and is now supposed to be a happy married man.
