Mrs. Hayden Bowen of Roxton died in McCuiston Regional Medical Center at9:20 a.m. Saturday.
Services are set for 4 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Churchof Roxton. Burial will be in Roxton Cemetery.
Mrs. Bowen will lie in state at the church from 3-4 p.m. Monday.
The family will receive friends at the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home from 7 to8 p.m. Sunday.
She was born July 18, 1879 in Bell County. She was the daughter of thelate John F. Landers and Mahala Nail. She attended public schoolsLunenburg, Ark. She married G.M. Bowen at Roxton in 1901. He died Dec.16, 1936. She lived in Roxton all of her married life. She was a memberof the First United Methodist Church of Roxton and was a member of theWomen's Bible Class.
She is survived by: three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Chancelor of Dallas,Mrs. J. E. Batchellor of Haynesville, Ark., and Miss Alice Bowen ofRoxton; two sons, Bob Bowen of Hemet, Calif., and Robert Shelton Bowen ofSan Ramon Ramon, Calif.; one sister Mrs. Geneva Walker of Amarillo; twobrothers, Jack Landers of Amarillo and E. G. Landers of Roxton; sevengrandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and fivegreat-great-grandchildren.
